Just wanted to say that I found Tacopocalypse to be so fucking good, it made me hate them a little bit.   I'll have a more detailed post up soon, but seriously, go to there.  You will regret only that you hadn't done it sooner.

Sweet baby lord.  Jethro's is amazing.  I'm sitting here, full of meat and happy about it.

Taki Japanese Steakhouse - Urbandale

Now, I don't venture into the 'burbs if I don't have to.  But I bought a car at CarMax in Urbandale yesterday, so we stopped and at Taki on the way home.

It's pretty damn good.

China Chef - Delivery

I've lived in my house for almost 18 months, and I was still ordering from my old Chinese Delivery.  Today, I'm a Lone Ranger, and starving for Chinese.

Okay... so the premise of this blog is to review restaurants that I've never been to more than once, if at all.  I wasn't going to write a blog until I've been to that place twice, however, I felt I absolutely must write about Jethro's.

The purpose of this blog is twofold.

  First, to encourage myself (and others, I guess) to eat locally!  I do expect that I'll post reviews of National or Regional chains, but not many.

  Second, I am trying to expand my horizons.  I've never eaten Pho or Pork Cheeks, but I plan to soon enough.
